Spellingland

Once upon a time, in Spellingland, the letter A was lonely. He was looking for a word to be a part of when he ran into the letters B, N, K.  He asked if he could join them and they became BNKA.  So the friends walk around searching for a word to join.  As they were walking, B tripped and caused a wreck. All the letters fell down.  When they got up, they were B-A-N-K.  Letter Z walked by and said, "Hi, Bank!" and walked off down the block.

The letters looked at each other and smiled. They were already a word! They decided to find some word glue so they went to The Word Shop.  They couldn't find the glue for all the stuff in the store. So they went seeking the Word Manager to help them find the word glue.  The manager told them that it was all sold out and they should go to The Letter Shop.  BANK went as fast as they could to The Letter Shop.  When they got there, they found rows and rows of letter glue.  BANK was so happy!

BANK bought the black letter glue because it was the best.  After they paid, they went outside to find a place to use the black glue.  It was almost dusk when they plucked themselves down on the park bench.  B sneaked a peek at the black glue.  The smell was like blackberries.  B told the others that they needed to hurry before it got so dark that they would miss their marks for the black glue.

B opened the glue and put a dot on his mark.  He handed the glue to A who put a peck on his mark, too.  N and K did the same then they all took a step toward B until they were stuck!  The letters were finally a word that could not come apart!  A would never be lonely again.

The End
This story was written by Brayden last week as part of his spelling homework.  Kristy polished it up and ta-dah!
